It's on Netflix now. A typical Ashutosh Gowarikar film where there is narration, to speed up the audiences with the layered story to come. I will not talk about VFX here as it was disappointing on what I saw on TV, It could have been better on the cinema screen maybe.

Few dialogues could have been better. Arjun Kapoor bulked up well for the role and delivers a good performance, not exceptional in comparison with Ranveerโ€™s in Bajirao Mastani but if you eliminate that comparison, he does justice to what he was hired for, same goes for Kriti Sanon. Very few directors try to keep it real and Ashutosh Gowarikar is one of them, there were no six packs, no fake slow mo of the lead character. Music & background score was top notch but the director could have gone away with the lip sync of the songs. It takes a lot of effort and courage to make such historic films and credit to the director for attempting to pack it in a 3 hour film as this could have been easily a web series considering the timeline of the story. Special mention to a negotiation scene before the war in the film, which brings out the patriotism to the peak. Overall a good film, failed due to bad timing and preconceived notion about the casting. If there was some other cast, this movie would have at least recovered the investment or crossed it for sure.
